Fuel pump replaced. The gas gauge is being weird. It’s now accurate and moves REALLY slowly. Took hours to get the a somewhat close level.

Drove about 15 miles toady. Worked well. Let’s see how long it lasts this time.

Sounds like a float or something is sticking/having trouble moving. Not that I’m an expert or anything.

Maybe. It still moves and is accurate to 1/4 tank.

My metro does that. It’s like I know it’s at full but only reading 3/4 driving away from the pump.

The issue is mine is only accurate to about 1/4 tank, so I have to go by odometer. This is a new issue too.

So say you fill up, goes to full, and when it gets close to 1/4 left it quits?

No, it’s slightly above 3/4 when full. I added 11 gal to the 12gal tank when it read 1/4 full. The gauge is accurate to +-1/4 tank.
